_**The Client**_

We are looking for female support workers to work with a lovely young lady with Cerebral Palsy. She has a great sense of humour, is a non-verbal communicator and a wheelchair user. ‘Amy’ has a wide variety of interests, such as baking, music, arts and crafts, pamper sessions, shopping and swimming at Hydrotherapy. The client does not eat orally, and instead has a tube into her tummy to receive her feed and medication. Experience in using these is not required, as full training can be given.

You will be joining a dedicated team to support the young lady to achieve her optimal quality of life, which includes supporting her with all aspects of her care, as well as supporting her to get out and about to attend events and activities. She lives in her own home with her family. There are two friendly dogs, who live in a separate part of the house.
- **Pay rates**_
- £13.60 per hour - weekdays daytime
- £14.10 per hour - weekends daytime
- £14.10 per hour - weekday waking night waking (Mon - Thursday)
- £14.60 per hour - weekend waking night (Fri - Sunday)
- You will be given 5.6 weeks of paid annual leave.
- Employer Pension Contributions
- Two weeks Sick Pay
- You will be paid to attend all training and supervisions.

- This post is open to female staff only as it involves personal care Occupational Requirement (Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9 Part I._
- **Hours and Shifts Available**:_
- 30 hours or 18 hours contracts available. Shifts will be weekdays and alternate weekends on a rolling rota.
- Shifts generally start at 8.30am and finish at 7pm, or can be split into 8.30am until 1.45pm, or 1.30pm until 7pm.
- If handing over to/from night start, start time will be 7.30am and end time will be 7.30pm.
- Waking Night shifts are 7.30pm until 7.30am.
- **Duties**:_
- To support the client to live a full and varied life, by accessing the community and taking part in a range of activities.
- The role will also involve supporting the client with personal care, moving and handling, nutritional requirements and medication. Full training will be given for all of the duties you will undertake.
- Assisting the client with communication and advocating on her behalf.
- Supporting the client to remain active by supporting her to complete her therapy routines.
- Supporting the client to participate in leisure activities, attend concerts, go shopping, do gardening, attend hydrotherapy and go on holidays.
- Driving the wheelchair accessible vehicle to support her to get out and about.
- **Qualifications and Skills**_
- Previous experience in supporting people with complex needs is desirable but not essential as training will be given.
- Clear communicator with an upbeat personality.
- Hard-working and dedicated.
- Able to engage with the client and have a good sense of humour.
- Ability to drive is essential, with a full UK driving licence and the willingness to drive a wheelchair-adapted vehicle.
- Able to undertake moving and handling tasks.
