Janitor

**Job Description**:
Our client who is based within a highly regarded public sector organization, have a temporary role for a Janitor. This role attracts a pay rate of £12.55 per hour and is based in Livingstone. Hours of work are Mon - Fri 8am - 4pm.
A current PVG for children would be required for this role.

**Duties**
- Carrying out reactive works as per tabs request within specified time scales. Receipt works complete on tabs database.- Receive, deliver, and collect mail and parcels from all areas of the college.- Delivery of goods to all departments.- Classroom set ups, moving equipment in catering section, grounds maintenance.- Minor furniture repairs, e.g., doors or table legs.- Attending to minor plumbing repairs and adjustments, including unblocking of toilets, sink taps and tap washers.- Office removals and furniture relocation.- High level cleaning (not with plant hire), cleaning of plant rooms, wall washing, cladding etc.- Liaise with contractors and company representative regarding general maintenance of buildings and campus.- Carry out duties on relation to an emergency including planned and reactive alarms, ambulance call outs and police. Liaise as main contact if on duty in evening or weekends.- Requirement to perform security checks and follow the lock up procedures of all college buildings.- Assisting with Maintenance tasks when required- Be involved in any project work - decant and reinstate buildings ready for student use.**Key skills**
- Previous experience of working in a similar environment would be advantageous.- Good communication skills- Working within timescales- Ability to priorities' own workload- Previous experience in a similar role- Experience of team working
