We are looking to recruit a full time **Care Co-ordinator** with knowledge of the local geographical area of Canterbury, Folkestone and familiarity of surrounding areas - 35 hours per week **Mon-Fri 09:00-17:00 **to join our friendly team in Canterbury.

MyLife Kent will provide you with **full training **and **ongoing support** to enable you to develop and learn new skills.

**Essential requirements**:

- Have an awareness of how to use rostering systems within the health and social care sector
- Understanding of the scheduling process within the health and social care sector
- Office administration experience: typing, IT & technical skills, **computer literacy including Microsoft office**:

- Good people skills with the ability to provide an exceptional level of customer service
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to remain focused and calm under pressure
- Strong Administrative Skills

**Duties will include**:

- To ensure **effective communication** with Customers with reference to any changes to care needs and call times.
- To ensure effective communication with Care Workers with reference to any changes to their shift patterns and to provide support where needed
- **Responsible** for allocating all scheduled care calls using our rostering system and meeting the needs of the service user.
- Responsible for building care runs that are cost effective and efficient
- **Liaise** with the recruitment team to ensure adequate capacity
- Maintain accurate staff, both computerised and manual, complete paperwork as appropriate in line with procedures.
- Monitor care workers by using a **positive approach**, carrying out supervisions and welfare checks
