The post holder will work in a supporting role to the Farm Manager to clean the office and laboratories to a high standard. The post holder will also be required to help set up the office for occasional meetings and events. The post holder will work three hours per week.

Routine cleaning: sweep hallways, boot room and lavatories, mop linoleum floor surface, hoover carpets, dust surfaces and wipe clean window cills, etc. This should be carried out once per week, or more often if required.

Occasional requirements: setting up tea and coffee for meetings, additional cleaning before and after event has taken place.

This is a responsible role which requires the post holder to liaise with the Farm Manager to agree hours of work, and also meet health and safety and security requirements.

Health and Safety

Uphold the health and safety policy of the Institute:

- understand hazards and follow instructions for risk assessed jobs
- monitor condition of equipment and report defects

Security

The post holder will be required to lock the office building at the end of their shift if working outside normal business hours.
