With strong writing skills and a desire to learn and understand learning design theory and best practice, our Junior Learning Designers create consistently high-quality digital learning, lesson plans and video content to meet our customers’ training requirements.

Expect a varied workload, predominately consisting of writing instructional scripts, working with graphic designers to specify visuals, and using our chosen authoring tools to create the end product.

**Responsibilities and duties**
- Research and gather reputable information about topics
- Write instructional copy that brings often complex, topics alive with an appropriate amount of interactivity
- Carefully balance competing project needs such as complexity, audience, customer requirements, and project constraints
- Review scripts written by colleagues to identify and suggest where the script may need to be corrected or improved
- Brief graphic designers on the graphic, visual, and video requirements of the project. Suggest images and illustrations to support content and meet key learning aims
- Create digital learning using various authoring tools. Ensure all work is checked before sending it for QA to minimise any issues coming up further down the line
- Review built courses to ensure the end product matches the script and design specifications exactly
- Update and maintain course & content documentation to ensure accuracy, version control and quality
- Give accurate work time estimates and log time methodically

**Requirements**:

- Demonstrable ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear, concise and effective manner
- Able to adapt your writing to suit different styles and tones
- Technically adept and not afraid to learn new tools or principles
- Able to work cooperatively within the team and across the wider company
- Comfortable working closely with stakeholders to understand training requirements
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Able to talk about and explain the rationale in your work
- Not afraid to challenge existing processes and suggest new ideas
- A creative, visual eye to support design
- Willingness for occasional travel
