We are recruiting for a Workforce Manager who will be responsible for meeting current operational requirements, with the sustainable use of current capabilities, and the development of future capabilities, to meet all strategic, current and future operationalobjectives to support project and programme delivery.

Salary from £55,850 - £80,000

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Deliver a strategic people capability plan based on an understanding of the AWE programme demand, to include people, tools and process.
- Lead on the identification, assessment and planning for future people capability requirements and recruitment based on analysis of management information, resource strategies, changing demand for services and the introduction of changes to technology.
- Grow industry relationships and reputation with AWE's key internal and external stakeholders to ensure that key strategic alignment is achieved.
- Lead, coach and develop a team of leaders and influence others at specialism or functional level to create and deliver operational plans.
- Deliver assigned projects in accordance with requirements, operational constraints, time, cost and quality.
- Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security, and quality and be a great team player.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Delivery of the people strategies to ensure that the right people, are in the right place at the right time and champion a positive high performing culture, performance excellence and continuous improvement to ensure the sharing of best practice principlesand rewarding such examples.
- Ensure capability and performance are positioned and deployed to successfully meet agreed project deliverables and timescales.
- Lead sourcing strategies and ensure activities are balanced to achieve alignment with stakeholders and build strategic direction to respond and improve negative trending, planning and reactive.
- Actively engage with HR to support the sourcing of people e.g. Graduates / Apprenticeship / Critical and Scarce skills and lead of the representation of AWE and the function at external recruitment and trade fairs.
- Facilitate business discussions between functions, sub-functions and the supply chain to drive resource prioritisation decisions.
- Ensure that people capability gaps are documented and fed into the appropriate processes, e.g. performance and knowledge management whilst developing innovative methods for reducing capability gaps, including the use of 3rd party contract arrangements andnew service offerings.
- Challenge and positively influence business capability decision making.
- Development and implementation of workforce and people strategies and plans to support the delivery of business operations.
- The Company may require you to fulfil any other reasonable duties aligned to your position from time to time in line with business needs.
- Work with key stakeholders to deal with escalated capability issues and make decisions on conflicting demands.

**You Will Have**:

- People or Business focused degree or relevant time-served experience
- Experience of producing and maintaining business workforce / people plans
- Strong understanding of people processes and procedures
- The ability to forge positive relationships with stakeholders and able to influence positive outcomes through conflicting agendas
- Evidence of people/project management competencies
