This is a new role within the Trust, with the expansion of the Safeguarding team, there is an opportunity for a dedicated person to take on the role as a learning disability and autism acute care facilitator, to support both adults and children that use our service The role will align with our commitment as a Trust to put people first in all that we do, work in partnership with the people who use our service and establish collaborative working practice with our partners to meet the needs of the people we care for.

The post holder will take the operational lead on the implementation of Dorset County Hospitals Learning Disability and Autism Trust Framework and Policy.

The post holder will support and advise staff in liaison with independent care providers, families and community learning disability teams regarding the support of children, young people and adults with a learning disability and or autism within the acute care setting

The posy holder will coordinate the learning disability and autism champions network in parentship with the Learning Disability and Mental Capacity Act Lead.
