- **Inclusive Environment**: Benefit from the school’s excellent facilities and holistic approach, creating a welcoming and inclusive environment tailored to the child’s needs.

- **Empathy and Patience**: These are non-negotiable qualities. Your deep understanding of the experiences and challenges faced by children with EBD will help you connect with the child, while your patience will enable you to support them at their own pace.
- **Adaptability and Creativity**: The ability to think on your feet and adapt your teaching methods is crucial. Creativity in your approach will engage the child and facilitate their emotional and behavioural growth.
- **Strong Communication Skills**: Effective communication with the child, their family, and your colleagues is vital. Building a strong, collaborative network around the child is essential for their progress.
- **Experience with Complex Needs**: While not essential, experience with children who have complex needs is a significant bonus. This experience will equip you with a broader range of strategies and a deeper understanding of the varied challenges these children can face.
