The Trust is seeking a forward thinking, highly motivated and enthusiastic Cashier to join our team, based at the Princess Royal hospital.
This is a 'hands on' role and if you can communicate effectively with members of the public, finance, managerial, clinical staff, and other external
parties, then we are looking for you to join our busy Cashiers Team. Customer service experience and skills are essential. Also important is an
ability to multitask as well as prioritise and manage your own workload, be flexible and problem solving.

Main

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide financial information to line manager and other staff in the organisation in accordance with agreed procedures.
- Escalate complex queries to line manager or other staff as appropriate
- Follow Cashiering Team internal controls and processes. Below are examples of tasks to be carried out, this list is not exhaustive: - Ensure that all income is receipted and accounted for in a timely manner.
- Ensure income is banked in accordance with SFI’s and in a safe and timely manner.
- Ensure all patients monies and property is accounted for and logged correctly.
- Issue cheques and faster payments in accordance with written procedures
- Action when required all BACS transmissions and pdq card payments. Completing associated paperwork and spreadsheets as necessary.
- Adhere to Trust cash management policy.

Financial Advice & Decision Support
- Provide information to staff, customer and representatives of other organisations about financial processes.
- Provide cover for other members of the Finance Directorate, at a level commensurate with your grade, as directed by your line manager or supervisor.
- Undertake other duties as directed by your line manager or supervisor

Budgetary Control
- Ensure that Trust policy is adhered to and that transactions are appropriately approved.

Communication and Working Relationships
- Escalate complex queries through line management

Education & Professional Development
- Attend mandatory and statutory training as required

Other Duties
- Provide cover for other members of the Finance directorate, at a level commensurate with your grade, as directed by your line manager or supervisor.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties commensurate with the role as delegated or requested
