We are currently seeking an individual to join this team in the role of Head of Project Delivery Europe.

The primary purpose will be the role holder will ensure the HSBC values are present in everything we do, both individually and as an Organisation. This will be achieved by consistently displaying the behaviours of: Dependable and do the right thing, open to different ideas and cultures, connected to customers, communities, regulators and each other.

In this role, you will:

- Lead and oversee a team of project management professionals in delivering robust and disciplined project management services across the European Client Change portfolio for Securities Services; implementing new ways of working, building team capability & performance, with coaching and development plans to achieve objectives
- Manage key stakeholder relationships and be accountable for making complex business wide decisions, delivery of quality assurance, delivering high value financial improvement initiatives and creating an environment for the development and capability across the team and function, ensuring optimisation of client change and profitability
- Set the pace and operating rhythm, driving a culture of achievement and efficiency, ensuring pace by identifying and removing barriers to project delivery success
- Ensure adherence to project / programme governance model and use of the Change Framework defined standards and tools; control, manage and report on project metrics, change control, benefits, risk logs, issues and dependencies
- Manage the overall resource supply and demand model in line with budget allocation, ensuring effective utilisation of the teams to support project & client delivery outcomes
Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following:

- Experience of leadership and ability to drive and maintain strategic direction & high performing teams, including team development, capability uplift and performance management
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical, creative problem solving, collaborative and influencing skills
- A solid understanding of business change techniques, and ability to problem solve and promote innovative solutions to client problems, including digital enablement & adoption
- Self-motivated with the ability to think, and act, independently and able to work under pressure to meet client and project deadlines; an energetic, results focused, change agent, with a strong work ethic.
- Excellent relationship management, influencing and networking skills to engage with clients and senior stakeholders across all levels

The base location for this role is Edinburgh.
