On a day-day basis, you'll maintain and repair a wide range of both rail equipment and general construction equipment. Including compactors, jacks, OLE equipment, chain saws, rail generators, track trolleys, TSR equipment, sleeper beams, stressing equipment, track-side lighting, battery rail drills and wrenches, and much more.

This will include finding and capturing machine damage and keeping accurate and comprehensive service and maintenance records. It's also really important that you communicate effectively, ensuring that your Line Manager and Customers are kept informed as required.

Working alongside colleagues, you will be a great team player and take pride in your workplace and working environment, making sure that high standards are maintained whilst complying with company procedures and processes.

**About You**

**What you will need to bring to the role**:

- Prior experience in a Maintenance Fitter role, preferably within the rail/construction industry (Not essential but all experience is welcome)
- A strong commitment to Health and Safety and ideally with PTS Certification
- Able to work as part of a Team, supporting colleagues
- Flexible and self-motivated, you'll be keen to embrace new training opportunities, which may on occasion require staying away from home
- Great communication skills - both verbal and written
- Customer-Focused with a commitment to delivering an excellent service
- Effective planning and organisation skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Computer literate Incl Microsoft programmes (Excel, Word etc )
- Full UK drivers’ licence

As well as working within our stores we are encouraging on track/site working - full training will be provided.

The role may involve out-of-hours working, which may include mid-week nights, weekends and bank holidays.

**Salary**: £22,000.00-£23,000.00 per year
