The Income and Fees Team is seeking a **Credit Control Assistant** to work in a busy department collecting payments from large volumes of student, commercial and domestic accounts.

You must have prior experience in credit control, and experience in the Education sector is desirable. We are looking for someone with strong IT skills and abilities, who is proficient with numbers and willing to work flexibly to support the team.

With excellent communication skills, you will be able to build rapport with customers while answering queries, processing payments, explaining terms of credit and negotiating payment plans. You must be able to confidently navigate through difficult conversations and complex queries; remain calm when dealing with challenging situations and be firm and fair when negotiating.

Due to the nature of the software in use and staff support required, the role is based on-site with limited ability to work from home under normal circumstances.
