We have a fantastic opportunity for a Bush Honer to join one of our leading Clients on a permanent basis in Hayes, Heathrow

The purpose of this role is to fit bushes and dimensionally check tolerances, as well as fit and swage bearings and hone bushes in accordance with OHM/CMM/SOPM.

You will adhere to Customer Turn Around Times, embrace and actively improve LEAN processes and ensure all KPI targets for the department are met and adhered too

**Responsibilities**:

- Check component and bush log for accuracy.
- Install bushes / bearings. Check bushes dimensionally using workshop manuals and drawings.
- Using imperial calibrated measuring equipment.
- Swage bushings with the suitable method (pressure, roller, stake, material displacing).
- Wire lock bolts / bushes.
- Use of cryogenics / ovens.
- Assist with on wing support when trained.
- Carry out hardness checks of components.
- To maintain knowledge of HPA's working procedures pertinent for the job function.
- Hone bushes to final size.
- Carry out hardness tests using appropriate machine.
- You will be required to maintain Practical Experience Record (PER) book.

**Requirements**:

- Engineering apprenticeship.
- Ability to measure using imperial measuring equipment.
- Familiar with the use of computers, including word processing, spreadsheets and data based programmes.
- Trained in machine shop technology and working practices.
- Aerospace background not essential but would be preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Accuracy and job satisfaction.
- Well organised, Punctual and flexible.
- Quality conscious.
- The ability to work within a team environment.

Shifts for this role would be night shifts on a salary of between £28,00 - £35,000 depending on experience plus shift pay and numerous company benefits including travel discounts, health schemes, shopping memberships and much more
