**Why would I want to work here?**

The role comes with free parking, quarterly bonus, free tea and coffee, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and full training. Working hours are 8.30 to 5.30 Monday to Friday. Work from home is available after 3 months in agreement with your line manager. There is also a 10% bonus which is paid quarterly. Relevant study funding available for this role.

**The essence of the role**

Manage to 2 junior buyer and step in as the Purchasing Manager in their absence. Responsible for purchasing, supplier and inventory control across all categories.

**The scope of the role**
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned
- Train and mentor the purchasing team
- Conduct negotiations and establish agreements with suppliers
- Monitor and report on supplier performance
- Actively monitors low shelf life stock
- Oversee demand and forecasting

**Prerequisites**
- 5 years supply chain or procurement experience
- Experience of managing people
- Familiar with ERP systems
