General Dynamics Mission Systems in St Leonards-on-Sea currently provide a wide range of Avionic Mission Computing Systems for a wide range Military Fast Jets, Helicopters and UAV’s. Recent success has resulted in General Dynamics developing the next generation of Advanced High Performance, Safety Critical Mission Computer Systems to meet the needs of latest platforms in development by several aircraft manufacturers. These Mission Computing Systems provide the functionality that integrates aircraft systems, sensor systems and weapon systems with the information and control systems required by the aircrew to meet the demanding operational needs of these aircraft.

As a Stores Production Operator, you will be expected to play a major role in ensuring the smooth operation of Stores/Goods-In and Dispatch. This will involve both computer based work and actions such as locating and selecting required physical parts from their storage locations. Stock checks are frequently required where items have to be located and counted to ensure the physical quantity matches the recorded quantity.

You will need to be a good team player, but also, be able to show initiative when working individually

**Qualifications**:
No prior operator or stores experience is required, but would be an advantage.

Ideally you will:

- Have good numeracy skills
- Have familiarity with IT and some knowledge of the Microsoft Office toolset.
- Be familiar with manual handling and lifting of items
- Treat customers and fellow colleagues in a friendly, approachable manner
- Have ability to follow written/spoken instructions
- Be eager to learn with the ability to retain new knowledge
- Review and provide ideas for improving Stores processes
- Act and make decisions upon your own initiative
- Capable of working on numerous tasks in parallel

**Additional Information**:
This role of Production Operator has a starting salary of £20,900 to £24,000 dependant upon experience and an attractive flexible benefits package.
