IT Network Technician - Temporary Cover
Based in Scunthorpe (occasional inter-site travel required between Scunthorpe and Grimsby - provided)
Monday to Friday - 37.5 hours per week

IT / Network Technician
Gi Group are recruiting for a temporary IT Network Technician to support various NHS departments across the Scunthorpe area. Duties will include making data points live, troubleshooting network faults and helping with network upgrades.
You will be joining a dynamic team with the support of the IT Network Specialist Lead supporting the development and maintenance of the Trust data networks.
Essential Skills Required:

- Level 4 Qualification in recognised IM&T field or equivalent experience in a technical
service delivery.
- Relevant experience within an IT Infrastructure/Communications environment
- Knowledge of Data Network topology/environments
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office products
- Effective team player and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Experience within an IT Department in a technical support role with specific expertise
in networks
- Knowledge in network design
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Desirable Skills Required:

- Experience of work in the NHS
- Experience of working in Digital Services
- Minimum 2 years' experience within an IT/Communications environment
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Understanding of IP telephony systems
Responsibilities will include:

- Maintenance of Network first line support. This may be related to PC's, Laptops,
Printer, IP Phones
- Setup, configure and install equipment
- Supporting to deliver network services to new accommodation
- Troubleshooting
- Working in partnership with other departments and taking a collaborative approach to
a range of initiatives
