This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a diverse team, supporting the clinical education programmes for Ambulance Operations in one of the busiest ambulance services in the world.
- Teaching qualification i.e. L5 Diploma in Education/L7 PGCert in Medical and Healthcare Education or equivalent
- Level 3 Assessor qualification (Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement or equivalent)

You will be actively involved in promoting best practice across the Trust. Additionally, you will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to provide pastoral care for students, as well as visible clinical leadership.

The post holder will deliver both clinical/technical related education and training. This will take place:

- within education centres in a formal classroom setting or virtual classroom
- within an operational environment where there will be patient interaction on operational vehicles as Paramedics interacting with patients in external environments to support partner education programmes

The post holder will deliver these activities, as scheduled to meet the demands of the agreed training plan, including the monitoring and mentoring of all learner activities.

The post holder will be actively involved in promoting best practise across the service whilst maintaining compliance with local and national policies and standards.

The post holder will be developed across the educational and leadership aspects, enabling them to undertake a range of managerial and education duties and provide visible clinical and managerial leadership.

The Clinical Education and Standards department is a diverse team, responsible for all clinical education programmes in the London Ambulance Service. Our team is committed to educational excellence, and we strive for developing, delivering, recording and reporting the very best to ensure the clinical staff of the London Ambulance Service provide the highest patient care.

The Clinical Education and Standards department has moved to brand new specialist education facilities, located at Dockside and Brentford.

Our new centres will provide access to state of the art digital learning, and our portfolio of education programs will ensure a variety of work that both challenges and excites. We are seeking someone ready to lead change in clinical education.

The location you are posted to will be dependent on departmental demand and will be discussed during the recruitment process.

The post holder will deliver both clinical/technical related education and training.

Delivery of effective education and training in line with the departmental Training Plan.
Supporting clinical staff in their professional development whilst promoting best practice across the service to maintain and improve high standards of patient care.
Maintain personal clinical/technical skills, including requirements for patient contact activity.
Gain understanding and experience of preparation, planning and delivery of theory and practice based training sessions in accordance with the objectives prescribed within the agreed course programmes.
Contribute to stimulating and improving motivation within a team.
Maintain quality assurance within the department by analysing the outcomes from education and training activities delivered locally and proposing amendments at the standardisation meetings.
Maintain responsibility for personal development, retention and acquisition of professional qualifications and registration as appropriate.
Commit to and complete the educational requirements of the role to transition to Clinical Tutor (Band 7).
