Grafton Banks Finance are seeking an experienced analyst for a growing, commercial business with offices near Eastbourne. Our client is looking for a Cost Analyst on a permanent basis; this role will be analysing large amounts of data and providing recommendationsand advice across the business.

Reporting into the Head of Finance, this role will be working across both operations and finance teams, supporting the operations team to drive efficiency through analysis.

Duties & responsibilities:

- Analysis of movements in standard costs and resultant impact on forecasts
- Comparison of assumptions on cost make up against actual
- Supporting Operations team on review of logistic operations, e.g., efficient use of less than full loaded containers, air freight
- Development and reporting of KPIs, e.g., handling cost per unit, stock holding, internal and external OTIF
- Tracking of performance against targeted savings
- Research, analysis and comparison of supplier price adjustments vs market indices

Skills and prior experience:

- Desirable experience: business partnering, costing, financial analysis (1-2 years)
- Strong IT skills across Excel and ERP accountancy systems
