DSFS has an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional in the Estates field who has specialist knowledge around statutory compliance and HTM guidance.

They will be required to advise, audit and lead the full compliance agenda across Estates maintenance and capital projects. They will provide support to all Estates professionals in developing systems and methodologies to improve compliance and provide documented assurance in this area.

A ‘hands on’ approach to the role is essential to ensure strategies and systems of work are not only developed but are embedded in day to day working.

The role holder will provide strategic direction, expert opinion and advice to the DSFS covering all aspects of compliance, assurance processes and risk control.

The role holder will oversee and manage assurance audits and stage gate reviews on a pre programmed basis across all Hard and Soft FM departments Including capital projects programme and Estates Management and report to the relevant committees as required.

Manage and regularly review the function of the Compliance and Assurance Teams ensuring compliance and continual improvement against national targets, proposing case for changes as appropriate.

Proactively oversee, monitor and audit and provide reports regarding compliance aspects Hard and Soft FM services, systems and work activities ensuring good practice and compliance with relevant legislation, HSE Statutory Regulations and Guidelines, Specialist Regulatory Bodies NHS guidance, codes of practice and regulations.

Co-ordinate/Prioritise compliance workload in conjunction with Head of Estates for of Mech/Elec Engineers and provide technical support and guidance as and where required.

Strategic co-ordination with Energy Manager to support net zero and green plan ambitions, ensuring CRH is positioned correctly for the production of capital business cases to submit funding across the ICB and for national initiative bids (e.g. Salix) as these funding streams become available.
