**MacScott Bond Ltd** (part of the MacTaggart Scott Group) was formed in 1975 and is a stockist, distributor and hirer of a range of pneumatic and hydraulic components whilst providing advice and expertise to customers who are unsure of the most appropriate solution for their needs. MacScott Bond have two divisions, one in Aberdeen and one in Loanhead. The Loanhead division of MacScott Bond are looking to expand further into the hire market for hydraulic equipment. The company therefore have an exciting opportunity for a **Hydraulic Fitter**to join the team.

**Role**:
**Duties will include**:

- Assembling, testing, fault-finding, repairing and installing hydraulic power units and related equipment.
- Preparing flushing rigs for hire.
- Regular checking of equipment including pre and post hire checks.
- Cleaning, service and repair of equipment (air motors, pumps, etc).
- Ensuring all equipment meets Health and Safety standards.
- Attending customer sites to set up/repair equipment.
- Requisitioning supplies, such as tooling, gauges, fittings etc.
- Ensuring workshop and working areas are clean, tidy and well organised.

**Essential skills and knowledge requirements**:

- Have completed a traditional mechanical engineering apprenticeship and hold the relevant qualifications.
- Have good all-round knowledge and experience of hydraulic systems/equipment.
- Be experienced in pipe-bending
- Be efficient in reading/understanding engineering drawings and hydraulic circuits, whilst being able to use own initiative when required.
- Have the capability to follow manufacturing processes and plans.
- Have experience of pressure testing/functional testing of hydraulic equipment.
- Have experience of coordinating activities off site to ensure work is completed on time and within budget to customer specification/requirement.
- **Hold a current driving license**
