Syntech Recruitment are currently recruiting for a QHSE Manager, the successful QHSE Manager will come from a strong quality background within the aerospace or automotive sectors, or with extensive knowledge of quality within a highly regulated or high precisionbusiness. This role will be particularly suited to a highly experienced individual who is able to design, implement and lead the Quality processes in the organisation.
**QHSE responsibilities**:
- Collect, analyse and report data to support process monitoring, failure investigations and improvements.
- Identification of metrics to support product and process monitoring across the organisation.
- Identify and mange risks related to quality from product concept to delivery and beyond.
- Timely, accurate and factual reporting of incidents, failures, improvements and the status of the actions to address them.
- Availability of information to support failure investigations and the identification of the action to contain and prevent recurrence of the cause.
- Facilitate corrective actions.
- Present information, to both internal and external parties, to demonstrate that failures have been investigated, corrective action taken, and the effectiveness and sustainability of the actions proven.
- Support Quality Control and management / supervisory functions to achieve quality objectives and targets including those for on-time delivery of compliant product.
- Implementation of the controls to support the authorisation of compliance declarations throughout a product's lifecycle
- Taking a leading and influential role in establishing success for HSE deployment, developing a strategy that ensures these standards are successfully adopted and embedded
- Managing the deployment of the HSE System to ensure consistency throughout the business, whilst taking a coaching and mentoring approach to support stakeholders
- Successfully working with key stakeholders at a senior leadership level
- Taking a hands-on approach when needed across the business to ensure compliance and positive behaviours are in place
- Advising the Senior Leadership Team on all HSE related matters
- Creating and executing HSE initiatives and campaigns with both internal and external support to improve the overall performance in line with any long-term goals
**Experience and Qualifications**:
- Experience of managing and leading a quality function
- Experience of developing and managing quality processes
- Knowledge of AS9100 **IS ESSENTIAL** along with one or more of the following ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO18001
- NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent level qualification
- Experience of leading on internal HSE processes and procedures
- Confidence to develop strategy and liaise with key stakeholders, both internally and externally
- Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship building skills
- Quality tools (8D, Root Cause Analysis, LEAN, process approach, 5S, etc. Experience of APQP, PFMEA & SPC is advantageous);
- Lean manufacturing;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office;
- Use of Excel to analyse and present data;
- Word and PowerPoint;
- Ideally have Auditing experience (Lead or internal auditor), not essential
- Proven success in collating data, prioritising actions, determining root cause and implementing corrective action;
