**Regional Sales Manager - Northern Europe**

Our firmly established UK based design and manufacturing client of specialist acoustics equipment and speakers is seeking an experienced **Regional Sales Manager** to continue their growth and development of the **Northern European** territory.

Based either at their offices in the south of England or remotely in Germany/France and reporting to the Head of Sales and Marketing, this new position is to support the continued growth in this existing territory through their main route to market via anetwork of distribution partners and authorised dealers.

Albania, Benelux, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech-Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Ukraine

Working from either a UK office-based position, or with consideration on a home-based position if in this territory, and travelling as required, the Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for:

- actively managing and growing sales via the distribution channel involving day to day management of a number of distribution partners for each country within the European region. Effective stakeholder engagement at every level within their business andmanaging each distributor against set KPI's to ensure agreed targets and contractual obligations are met.
- Develop the range of products purchased from existing distributors by adopting a consultative selling approach, effective product mix management, and gap analysis. To be successful effective Key account management skills, training distributor staff, andsupporting distributor lead generation will be a fundamental part of daily activity.

Key duties include:

- Build long standing relationships with customers in the European region to drive relationships, repeat business and maximise profit - this particularly includes Germany.
- Challenge buying habits & make profit enhancement decisions with existing clients
- Gap and product mix analysis to identify sales opportunities and generate growth
- Prospecting for new high potential customer/projects in region
- Develop a sales pipeline from opportunity identification and Specification through to order placement
- Compile and execute strategic account plans to ensure delivery of anticipated sales growth for key distributors
- Strategic approach to planning and territory management, utilising available reporting to support own activity and objectives
- Tenacious follow-up activity to ensure effective sales pipeline management and close sales opportunities
- Develop and support key distributors, of varying turnover levels, through targeted sales activity
- Organise and deliver distributor training sessions to support customers with product knowledge and system design
- Manage and attend trade shows and exhibitions to promote their range and increase brand awareness within region
- Secure sustainable growth for the business within the European region and gain market share from competition
- Effectively manage each distributor's order book, ensuring this is in line with expectations and clear communication given on order progress

Required knowledge and competencies:

- Key Account Management skills to build long-term loyalty
- Previous experience operating within the European region and a full understanding of how to effectively engage with countries within this region
- Structured approach to call planning, objectives setting, and desired call outcomes
- Proven ability to exceed targets
- Excellent networking ability and able to engage with multiple stakeholders as part of sales approach
- Previous experience working within or selling in a distribution sales model
- Able to understand customer requirements through a consultative selling approach
- Able to sell on value rather than price
- In-depth understanding of distribution operations, ideally in the Pro-Audio Market
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Skilled in negotiation and closing business
- New business development and major project sales experience.
- An influencer with strong powers of persuasion.
- Able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Multi-lingual, ideally in German and/or French wherever possible
