Youth Worker

**Community Sparks Change is seeking a Youth Worker to join our team in Clapham.**

**The Youth Worker is responsible for the supervision and guidance of youth in a therapeutic setting, providing a safe environment that promotes self-direction and assists them in developing social skills. The Youth Worker will also assist in the implementation of Community Sparks Change’s services and participate in the development of Community Sparks Change’s services.**

**Responsibilities**:
**Assist youth with all aspects of their social, emotional, and behavioral needs, including but not limited to**:

- Assisting with the planning and implementation of activities to meet the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of youth.
- Providing individualized supervision and group support to individuals as needed.
- Assisting with the development of social skills and awareness.
- Collaborating with other service providers as needed.
- Maintaining accurate records of social, emotional, behavioral, and physical needs.
- Participating in staff meetings and training sessions.
- Working collaboratively with other service providers to provide services for youth.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Skills**:
**Strong understanding of child development best practices.**
- Ability to identify children's educational needs and suggest appropriate courses of study.
- Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining a high level of customer service.

Contract length: 12 months
Part-time hours: 40 per week

**Salary**: £6.70-£16.84 per hour
