Chargehand

Sheds Direct are manufactures of made to measure garden buildings, based near Howden, East Yorkshire, YO86DJ

We are currently looking for a chargehand to work with our factory manager.

The role will be to oversee our workshop staff, achieve production schedules, manage quality control and at the same time work on production.

The role includes but is not limited to: making bespoke garden buildings in our workshop, loading and unloading the vehicles, rotation of stock and assisting the workshop manager.

This role requires team work, being able to work using own initiative, heavy lifting.

Experience of using nail guns, working in a similar environment and role is necessary.

This will be an interesting and challenging roll as no two days are ever the same. Applicants should come from the same or similar industries, they will need to be self motivated and be able to instruct and manage other members of staff while being able to work under the instructions of the factory manager. We are a small company with friendly workforce and management.

The role is Monday - Friday contracted to 40 hours however, there will be opportunity for extra hours including weekday and weekend overtime.
Occasional weekend work is required.

Due to insurance purposes for our machinery you will need to be aged 18 or over.

Own transport is required due to location, no public transport routes are available in the area.

Wage £16.00 per hour
