**Job Purpose**

To take the lead on all engine borescope activities for the business and play a pivotal role in the turnaround of engines going through maintenance in the workshop and at customer requested locations. The role will require a flexible approach as travel may be required at short notice.

**Main Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Take on the key role of borescope inspector in the day-to-day operation of a busy engine workshop.
- Meet and maintain the standards set by the business and the regulatory authorities.
- Ensure all work is carried out IAW the relevant manuals.
- Conduct all tasks in a timely and accurate manner ensuring turnaround times are kept to a minimum while meeting company objectives
- Work closely with Team Leaders and Workshop Manager to effectively plan and accomplish all required tasks.
- Ensure all associated tooling is serviceable and maintained for continued use.
- Establish and promote a safe working environment and culture, conducive to good, efficient maintenance practices.
- To be adaptable and a team player as other engine shop tasks will be required in addition to borescope inspections.
- Flexibility, adaptability and a willingness to welcome and embrace changes to priorities.
- Contributing to and co-operating with all staff members to meet targets and goals.
- To maintain the expected standards of performance and quality.

Skills & Experience:

- Time served aerospace industry apprentice with a minimum of 5 years experience post apprenticeship
- Borescope inspection experience on various engine types is essential, ideally on some of the following types, CFM, LEAP, CF6, CF34, V2500, RB211, T700, PW4000, PW1000G plus APU’s
- Boroblend experience would be desirable.
- Previous experience of working in a busy engine shop or aircraft MRO would be desirable.
- A current or previously held company approval would be essential.
- Computer literate (training will be given on the company computer system, previous Quantum experience is desirable).
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Knowledge of AMM’s, ESM’s, SB’s and all associated manuals including relevant ATA chapters.
- Awareness of Part 145 and FAA regulations
- Current Human Factor training, EWIS level 1&2, Fuel Tank safety level 1&2 (all desirable but can be provided)
- Must be flexible and willing to work in both the workshop or at customer locations to satisfy business needs.
- Must be a team player.
- Must be able identify problems, undertake corrective action or propose alternative methods/systems in order to improve output or quality or to overcome functional problems.

**Salary**: Up to £65,750.00 per year
