Elevation Procurement and Supply Chain are excited to be working with a booming technology business in their Southwest Yorkshire-based office. The business is looking for an Expeditor to join their busy Procurement team; the focus of the role will be to ensure the speedy and efficient movement of goods and materials through the supply chain.

As Expeditor, your duties and responsibilities will include:

- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure that materials and products are delivered on time with the correct quantity and quality
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure that there is enough stock to fulfil orders.
- Implement expediting strategies and plans
- Conduct risk assessment of suppliers to effectively manage all tiers of the supply chain in order to maintain and / or improve contractual delivery dates
- Replenish customer-specific stocking programs and highlighting recommended changes depending on overstock / understock
- Control the despatching of goods from stores working with Logistics

Key skills of the Expeditor:

- At least 2 years’ experience of a similar role
- Strong awareness and adherence to purchasing process
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Good level of analytical skills are required due to the strong focus on liaising with internal and external individuals.
- High level of competency in the use of Microsoft products.
- Experience of purchase order system
- Direct experience of material, goods service providers
- The ability to assess value for money purchasing in Fabrication / CNC Machining environment would be a distinct advantage.

Overall, the expeditor must possess a combination of technical, interpersonal, and organizational skills to be successful in their role.
