**What you’ll be doing**:

- You will lead a team of professional and managerial staff, being responsible for managing their delivery & performance and providing appraisal & support to their development.
- Will be responsible for coaching members of the direct team, monitoring their quality of work and contributing to performance management.
- This programme will consist of a number of projects/contracts or work packages, each in its own right requiring Project Managers to manage it.
- The role will involve the management of a programme management team, with liaison with other business functions being essential to the delivery of the project/programme.
- Effectively manage Projects/ Programmes/ Portfolios and provide guidance in those areas.

**Your skills and experiences**:

- Broad knowledge and experience of PM governance, assurance and audit.
- Comprehensive understanding of how the PM Function supports projects and people across the business.
- Understanding on how to identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Experience in establishing and maintaining strong customer and supplier relationships.
- University level education or professional qualifications gained through industry.

**The Astute Programme Capability team**:
The Head of Project Management will lead the Astute Programme Capability team to improve the platform design and material resilience for the final 2 boats in production. This will involve transformation of the design and configuration management of the final 2 boats, whilst optimising the change process efficiency with the customer and end user stakeholders.
