Team17 is a leading video game publisher and developer. We have experienced significant recent organic growth and acquired two studios and three major IP's over the past two years alone. With an ambitious agenda and a commitment to delivering on our goals, we are now seeking a driven and visionary Head of Studio to play a central role in our success.

As the Head of Studio, you will be responsible for setting the strategy and vision for Team17's network of studios. Defining their role and contribution to our business success and playing a key strategic role in determining and executing the long-term franchise plans for Team17 IP.

This is a high-profile position, oversees the entire Team17 studio network, including teams in Production, Programming, Design and Art, QA, Localisation, Outsourcing, Release Management, Usability, Porting and Tech. As well as a strong focus on supporting our third-party external partners.

Your role will also involve ensuring operational efficiency and effectiveness across the studios to support our financial performance targets. You will provide direction on the balance between third-party products and our owned IP, as well as supporting M&A activity to drive strategic growth.

**What you will do**:
Oversee the complete development process including strategy, planning, delivering to the highest standards, on budget and on time, as well as allocation of resources and scheduling.

Lead and develop our studio department heads, empowering them to successfully deliver projects and features for both Team17 and third-party titles.

Surface data from across the studio to support leadership decision-making and strategic resource planning.

Drive the development and improvement of processes and production methodologies.

Foster a high-performing work environment by leading the development and improvement of the studio culture.

Build and support an effective collaboration amongst the studio network team and other internal key stakeholders including Marketing, Sales, Finance, Developer Relations, and Game Scouting amongst others.

**How you will do it**:
Sound business and commercial acumen with financial literacy to manage budgets, drive efficiencies, identify and implement operational improvement, whilst delivering world class innovative indie games.

Significant experience in building, structuring, and leading commercial gaming studios.

Excellent understanding of the international gaming market landscape, including cultural nuances and key consumer groups within different markets.

Proven ability to drive change and possess authentic leadership skills.

Strong commercial focus with the ability to manage and influence relationships at all levels, including with studio, finance, CEO, and board members.

Experience managing a high volume of projects across studios, including back catalogue, console porting, outsourcing, and third-party collaborations.

Well-connected within the industry and sourcing partners.

Have a genuine passion for gaming, be immersed in gaming culture and trends.

Track record of building an engaging workplace culture and managing hybrid teams.
