**In short**: SOC Engineer required to join a global utilities client in standing up a brand new SOC.
- This is a temp to perm role. You will come into the business as a contractor with a view to a permanent conversion including a strong salary and excellent benefits._

**Overview**:
We're looking for a passionate, technical CSOC Engineer who enjoys finding efficient solutions to complex problems to join the a global Cyber Security team.

As a CSOC Engineer you will be responsible for researching, planning and onboarding new protections and signals, tuning current rulesets and analytics, as well as supporting other CSOC Engineers in their daily duties.

This is an exciting greenfield project, with the opportunity to build things *right* from the get go with little to no technical debt.

**You should have**:

- Out of the box thinking when designing new solutions.
- Working knowledge and practical experience of Microsoft Sentinel (or equivalent), and its' related solutions.
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Defender ecosystem.
- Outstanding problem solving and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Linux and Microsoft ecosystems.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, Amazon's AWS and Googles GCP cloud platforms.
- Desirable Qualifications (either achieved or actively working towards): Microsoft AZ-500, MS-500 and SC-200.
