**JOB PURPOSE**:
Partner with design and PD to translate design intent into product technical specifications.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Manage end to end process from proto development to SRS and production approvals
- Identify opportunities for cost engineering improvement & raw material optimisation
- Risk assessment and risk management to deliver product to the required technical standards
- Establishment and management of blocks with design and engineering team
- Print approvals and print industrialization with Vendors and 3D team
- Liaising with Raw Material team and vendors to establish care label content including test report approvals
- Comprehensive Knitwear product testing on all elements identified as a potential risk to the end product
- Finding solutions for packaging for production and shipping
- Develop relationships and effective communication with vendors
- Working closely with Burberry Cross functional teams including, Design, Global sourcing, Raw Material Management and Product Development
- Engage with Quality Assurance Team during production handover and Field Inspection
- Sample template creation with size and grade chart on PLM
- Organizing and leading fit meetings with cross functional teams
- Booking models for fit meetings
- Weekly reporting on Pre-Production samples stage, quality issues and production risk
- Sign off 100% Pre-Production samples according to critical path
- Organize and attend to Pre-Production meetings in factory
- Provide technical feedback on vendor performance
- Provide technical input into product withdraw/recalls and root causes analysis from customer feedback
- Create and manage sample shipments to vendors

**PERSONAL PROFILE**:

- Relevant degree level and/or relevant experience in similar Knitwear technologist role
- Knitwear Yarn and product testing knowledge is essential
- Extensive experience within an apparel or related industry
- Experience in working on Runway collections or as Technical Design in luxury is ideal
- User of Flex PLM, Microsoft Operational Systems, CLO 3D is a plus
- Pattern cutting and grading experience
- Proven knowledge of Knitwear manufacturing and quality processes
- Analytical and problem solving
- Effective and influential communicator
- Efficient and motivated
