The role will require a flexible individual with competency across hardware and software support on desktops and laptops. You will be expected to carry out a supporting role to all colleagues within the organisation across two sites within the Manchester area so there is a need for access to a car.

**Your responsibilities as Desktop Support**:

- Providing hands-on knowledge of the procedures used in the installation, modification, maintenance, and repair of IT hardware and software
- Being the first point of contact for escalated issues, questions, or concerns
- Perform initial diagnosis of all incident records with an aim of achieving First Contact Resolution (FCR)
- Work closely alongside colleagues to build strong working relationships with team members, customers, and suppliers
- Be the primary contact to identify and raise system issues with the external support team, raising tickets, and managing these issues to ensure that they are resolved in a timely manner
- Supporting users in the use of computer equipment through advice and informal training
- Management of network printers, managing toners, and raising support calls with engineers
- Base working hours for this role are Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:00

**Essential Skills**:

- Strong Microsoft desktop operating knowledge 7 / 8.1 / 10
- Experience of Microsoft O365
- Ability to proactively manage tasks and prioritise own workload
- Experience in networking and network administration
- Experience providing support/customer services
- Great communication and teamworking skills
- Active directory experience
- Ability to travel between two sites Irlam and Worsley (own car)

**Desired Skills**:

- Knowledge of Mac OS’s
- Knowledge of ERP systems
- Working in a regulated environment
