Anord Mardix, a Flex company, are a global group that manufactures switchgear and associated products for installation in mission-critical and live commercial buildings ranging from data centres to the international headquarters of some of the world’s largest companies.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an **Material Planner **on a **12 month fixed term contract**, located in **Kendal, England.**

Reporting to the **Planning Manager,** the **Material Planner **role will be part of an excellent planning team, whose members are strong communicators, ambitious & innovative. You will work across multiple projects and be responsible for collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to forecast, plan and facilitate on time material delivery.

**What a typical day looks like**:

- Order responsibility for a range of general items including the raising and progression of Purchase Orders
- Complete all necessary administration
- Assisting with invoice approval and closing open orders.
- Work with the Schedulers to plan any change decisions to minimise incurring additional costs
- Where shortages arise, swift action is taken to minimise the impact on production and solutions are communicated to all impacted stakeholders
- Provide trend analysis on repeat material shortages and implementation on corrective/preventative actions
- Provide a link between Procurement, Production and Projects
- Manage the scheduling of priority conflicts with suppliers
- Implement all processes to agreed standards and targets and support continuous improvement initiatives and identify areas of improvement
- Develop and maintain good relationships with suppliers and ensure demand for materials is met and deliveries made on time
- Resolve supplier concerns and evaluate supplier performance in conjunction with procurement team
- Cover and support for procurement during holidays/absence.
- Completing tasks as directed by the Line Manager

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good interpersonal skills with a ‘can-do’ attitude
- Assertive, adaptable, resilient and embraces change
- Computer literate with the ability to use Excel at Intermediate level
- Familiarity with an ERP system would be an advantage
- Previous planning and/or procurement experience would be an advantage
- Eligible to work in UK
