**Clinical Fellow - Critical Care**

**Southport and Ormskirk Hospitals**

**12 Months Fixed Term**

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated individual to take up this newly developed Covid Recovery (simulation) Clinical Fellow post.

The post will rotate on a 3-monthly basis between clinical duties within the critical care unit and full-time educational activity.

The clinical duties within critical care will involving working on a full shift pattern, supporting the non-anaesthetic resident rota.

The educational role will involve supporting the development of the trust simulation strategy, as well as supporting the delivery of the trust educational programmes.

The Critical Care Unit is based on the Southport and Formby District General Hospital site, providing Level 2 and 3 care for a general ICU population, as well as a Postoperative Critical Care Unit (POCCU).

The unit is currently constituted as 18 critical care bed-spaces (funded to 11) which can be used flexibly.

The department is actively engaged with the management of deterioration within the hospital and has critical care outreach over 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
