An exciting opportunity has arisen to be a part of the Strategic and Enabling function within City Housing as a Strategy and Research Officer. The position provides the opportunity to support the provision of research and intelligence within the service enabling appropriate forward planning and strategic decision making which is imperative to support the Council's aims and objectives.

The position gives you the opportunity to join the newly formed Strategic and Enabling function within City Housing. We are looking for people with a strategic mind This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role within City Housing’s newly formed Strategic Enabling function. The function is key to reach our objectives to become ‘best in class’ and provide the best housing offer in the country to the citizens of Birmingham.

We are looking for strategic thinkers who understand the national and local issues impacting the housing landscape and can be innovative and creative around developing solutions. We are keen to see applicants who have an understanding, or experience of strategy development, asset management and can develop partnerships at a local, national, or regional level.

The postholder will support the development and implementation of our emerging new Local Housing Strategy, undertaking related research and analysis, planning consultation with partners and residents and supporting our strategy project management. You should be confident in conducting research, analysing information from a range of sources and preparing related reports. You will also have experience of successfully managing people and projects, producing and delivering business cases and presentations and be able to work under your own initiative.
