This is an exciting opportunity for a highly driven, experienced individual to lead and manage the Radiopharmacy and associated radiochemistry service.

Our state-of-the-art licensed Radiopharmacy facility provides services within the Trust and also holds contracts across the East of England for manufacture and supply of radiopharmaceuticals.

You will be managerially responsible to the Imaging Operations Manager, clinically responsible to the Clinical Lead for Nuclear Medicine and professionally responsible to the Chief Pharmacist.

Main duties of the job

Working in an MHRA licensed Radiopharmacy production facility to:
Ensure effective service delivery and development in line with national and international standards, leading the strategic development of Radiopharmacy services within the Trust and externally in collaboration with commissioners of the service.

Provide advanced theoretical and practical specialist expertise and have responsibility within the Trust for Radiopharmacy management.

Lead compliance with Clinical Governance of the Radiopharmacy service provision across the Trust.

Responsible for the development of strategic plans for Radiopharmacy service and management to ensure services provided are progressive, responsive and efficient.

Responsible for the co-ordination of clinical trials, audits and research for department. Supporting researchers on the translation of new products into the manufacturing environment.

Responsible as Quality Controller for the release of radiopharmaceuticals and be named as such on the Manufacturing Specials (MS) license.
- Responsible for ensuring GMP requirements and regulatory expectations are met and to ensure maintenance of the MS license.Working for our organisation

**Qualifications**:
Essential criteria

Statutory professional registration (with HPC/GPhC)

Master’s degree in a relevant discipline

Membership of an appropriate professional body (Royal Pharmaceutical Society, Royal Society of Chemistry, Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine)

IRMER training record
- European association of Nuclear medicine Postgraduate Certificate In Radiopharmacy/Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology and Quality Assurance or equivalent knowledge and expertise in the fieldDesirable criteria

Qualified person for Investigational Medicinal Products

PhD in a relevant discipline

Registered as a chartered scientist where applicable

Postgraduate diploma in Radiopharmacy or equivalent knowledge and expertise in the field
- Has or is willing to obtain a management qualificationExperience

Essential criteria

At least 5 years’ experience within Radiopharmacy or similar manufacturing service, to include at least 3 years recent experience at senior level

Experience in aseptic preparation of pharmaceuticals

Experience as authorised releasing officer for radiopharmaceuticals

Experience of specification and monitoring of environment / equipment / products relevant to Radiopharma
