**Salary**: £22,175 - £22,988 per annum

**Job Type**: Permanent, full time

**Street Cleansing Operative** - The Role:
We are currently recruiting for Street Cleansing Operatives to work in the District across the Braintree, Witham and Halstead areas.

Street Cleansing tasks will include: street sweeping (mechanical/manual), litter picking, bin emptying (including dog bins), collecting fly tips, market clearance and removal of dead animals.

Our team work 7 days a week and you will be required to work 5 days a week on a rota basis, which will include weekend working. Current working hours for this role will be 6am to 2pm and 8am to 4pm (on a shift basis) Monday to Friday and weekend shifts willbe between the hours of 6am to 6pm.

**Street Cleansing Operative** - You:
Requirements of the role include:

- Ability to work outdoors in all weathers together with the ability to walk, bend, kneel and stand for long periods of time and perform heavy lifting if needed
- Ability to work weekends on a rota basis
- A full clean driving licence together with a 7.5 tonne licence
- Ability to work in a team or individual based environment
- Flexibility and willingness to be involved in all aspects of the operation of the street cleansing service
- Polite and helpful with the public at all times
- Have an understanding of Health & Safety systems including manual handling and risk assessments
