Land Surveyor

As we move through 2023, OCU group continues on a path of significant growth. This means our teams are expanding which has created an opportunity for a Land Surveyor in the Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) division of our Trenchless Installations team based out of our Stockport Head Office. The right individual will have the chance to work as part of an established team of highly skilled, and experienced design engineers.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Support the team with all aspects of works on contracts held by OCU Utility Services Ltd.
- Prepare For-Construction and As-Built drawings.
- Prepare Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
- Undertake topographic surveys.
- Manage third party site investigation operations.
- Prepare Feasibility Studies and Technical Proposals.
- You will be required to assist, as part of a wider team, in the site mobilisation set up by coordinating the layout of the site to ensure safe working, in line with the proposed working plans.
- Travel to and from sites, as required.
- Ad hoc duties to cover absence of staff, if required.

**Skills and Experience**:
**Essential**
- Ability to efficiently plan and conduct a field survey.
- Ability to record and compile survey reports.
- Experience of working with GPS Survey Equipment.
- Full UK driving license.
- May be required to work away as and when appropriate.
- Self-motivated to work alone or as a team.
- Computer literate (Microsoft product).

**Desirable, or Willing to Learn**
- Experience in AutoCAD.
- Experience of working with Total Stations.
- Experience at compiling and verifying utility plans.
- Experience at managing site investigation teams.
- Experience in a similar role within the industry.
- CSCS Card/EUSR Card.
- NRSWA Streetworks Supervisor Card.
