**Market Research and Insights Analyst**, known within the organisation as an Insight Officer, with experience in a similar customer insight or research role, a proactive attitude and ability to work independently on projects is required bya well-established Charity based in Reading, Berkshire.

**SALARY**:£28,988 - £35,199 pro rata

**LOCATION**: Hybrid role working for 2 days a week at the office in Reading and the remaining 3 days at home

**JOB TYPE**: Full-Time, 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

**WORKING HOURS**: 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week

**JOB OVERVIEW**

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Market Research and Insights Analyst with experience in a similar customer insight or research role, a proactive attitude and ability to work independently on projects.

As the Market Research and Insights Analyst you will use research and data to better understand the needs of people with vision impairment and sight loss.

The role of Market Research and Insights Analyst will provide the customer insight the charity needs to guide their strategy and develop person-centred services and marketing plans to meet those needs.

**DUTIES**

Your duties and responsibilities as the Market Research and Insights Analyst will include:

- Support the Insight and Customer Research Manager to deliver insight to the organisation
- Evaluate internal insight requests and advise the best route to achieving the objective, either through primary research, desk research or using existing sources
- Conduct primary research using in-house tools such as writing surveys, conducting depth interviews or small focus groups
- Manage internal relationships with key insight stakeholders
- Manage the relationship with external research agencies to ensure the best outcome
- Take full ownership of internal customer research panel, including driving recruitment, planning and executing engagement activities and in-house research projects such as surveys and discussion forums
- Be the expert for monthly brand & marketing performance KPIs
- Create a monthly Customer Voice Bulletin to bring to life the needs and experiences of people with vision impairment and sight loss
- Synthesise & translate research findings into accessible, engaging and useful outputs to share with the wider organisation
- Shape and maintain the internal share site for insight findings to ensure insight is available to all
- Support the Insight and Customer Research Manager to raise the profile of insight within the organisation, building strong & trusted connections with internal teams

**CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS**

**Essential**
- Experience in a similar customer insight and research role, either with an agency or in a client-side insight team
- Confident conducting primary research, analysing, and sharing results with internal stakeholders (with support of the Customer Research & Insight Manager)
- Experience managing external agencies within agreed timelines
- Good understanding of research methodologies and when to use them
- Confident conducting analysis - knowing how to bring sources of insight together and find an insight story
- Proactive attitude and ability to work independently on projects when needed
- Eligibility to work in the UK

**Desirable**
- Experience of working in the non-profit sector, or a strong desire to develop in this area
- Experience moderating qualitative research such as focus groups and depth interviews, or a desire to develop in this area
- Awareness of accessibility needs to ensure research is accessible to those with vision impairment
