You’ll be both comfortable working proactively and managing your own tasks, as well as confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with senior managers, directors, and BDO’s partners to help businesses effectively. You’ll be encouraged to identify and draw attention to opportunities for enhancing our delivery and providing additional services to organisations we work with.

In this role, you will be supporting the Financial Accounts & Compliance Manager by:

- Setting up manual payments, including obtaining approvals for our IFI and IIDA colleagues, whilst collaborating with HR and IIDA;
- Acting as the Finance contact for IFI, IIDA colleagues and heads of local offices for add hoc pay queries;
- Liaising with BDO offices, and contribute to the year-end accounts process;
- Undertaking monthly tasks including accrual journals and mark ups as required;
- Producing reconciliations of GL accounts on a monthly basis and maintain strong controls around the reconciliation process;
- Updating internal controls and maintain a strong control environment;
- Assisting with the set up and ongoing monthly reporting of new entities;
- Continuing to unlock Workday efficiencies and improvements, thereby improving the reporting and reconciliation processes;
- Coordinating the monthly IFI Meetings

You’ll be someone with:

- A degree (preferred)
- Previous experience in accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations (preferred).
- Proficiency in Outlook and Excel (Essential).
- Strong attention to detail when producing reports and using large data sets.
- Experience of working in professional services or a partnership (desirable)
- Ability to manage and resolve issues
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
