**The Opportunity**

The main purpose of the role is that the HSE Advisor will be responsible for the provision of timely advice and guidance on all matters pertaining to Health, Safety and the Environment with respect to Legislation, Company Polices and Client requirements.

You will provide visibility and interface of the HSE function. Work in collaboration with other members of the team and the wider business to facilitate high performance delivery through successful implementation of processes and systems, in a sustainable manner.

The HSE will contribute to the development of the HSE Assurance Plan to deliver high risk audits across the area or Division of responsibility; provide advice and recommendations of improvement.

You will advise and assist site management in the preparation of Safety & Environmental Plans, Risk Assessments and method statements for various projects in line with client SLA’s / KPI’s as well as working with on site management in the development, delivery, implementation and maintenance of Business Unit specific HSE policies and procedures.

The drive of behavioural culture change programs will be a key duty of this role in addition to assisting site management in the periodic preparation and presentation of seminars/training for clients, own employees and other interested parties/stakeholders.

**The Person**

**Essential**:

- Experience of dealing with HSE systems, processes and identifying training needs
- Can demonstrate knowledge in hazard assessment and risk reduction methods.
- Good level of understanding and knowledge of HSE legislation and codes of practice.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and a methodical approach with strict adherence to deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- NEBOSH Health & Safety Certificate
- A minimum of 2 years in a safety related role
- Experience of dealing with HSE systems, processes and identifying training needs

**Desirable**:

- Member of IoSH
- NEBOSH Health & Safety Diploma desirable
- Environment Qualification
