Housekeeper

Live out Housekeeper required in a fully staffed private household starting May 2023. You will be working within a private house primarily for two adults and two children (15&18) who are home during school holidays and weekends. You will also be required to help at approximately one large dinner party per month.

**Hours of Work**

09:00 - 17:00

Dinner party shift 16:00 - midnight.

5 days a week - Sunday - Thursday

As a part of the team, you will be required to check the house for usage and reset accordingly. Make the bedrooms to a hotel standard, clean bathrooms, change bedding, mop and hoover the carpets / marble flooring. Liaise with the head house keeper as to additional jobs that need completing on a daily / weekly basis.

You will also be required to report stock levels of products to the head housekeeper. They will advise you on how to handle any stubborn / difficult stains and ensure the correct product is used of the surface / fabric in question.

The family are very private and although very friendly do like discreet staff during working hours. The family entertain a lot of their friends and you will be required to help by setting the table, ironing table cloths, polishing glassware pre and post service and ensuring the highest standards are met at all times.

The house is immaculate and must be kept this way at all times. Cleanliness and high attention to detail are critical. Taking time and care whilst working are essential to ensure accidents are kept to an absolute minimum.

Willingness to be flexible with hours / shift swaps and days based on family plans. Adaptability is key.

You will be allocated a full schedule on arrival, however, here are some of the tasks you will be permitted to carry out:
**Daily Master suite / bedrooms**
- Make the beds and hoover carpets
- Change Sheets / towelling on a regular basis as well as when needed
- Clean en suite bathrooms to a pristine standard
- Replenish any used products
- Report stock levels to the head housekeeper
- Report ant items (Towles / Robes) that need replacing to the head housekeeper
- Report issues to head housekeeper or technician

**Daily House**
- Daily walk-through of the house to check usage and manage cleaning schedule
- Follow a cleaning schedule to ensure nothing is neglected
- Maintain running water schedule
- Hoover / Mop floors using appropriate products and equipment
- Ensure all cupboards are clean and tide inside and out
- Polish cutlery
- Polish silverware
- Internal window cleaning
- Dog washing and drying twice a week

**Key Attributes**
- Must be presentable, non - smoker and of good health
- Fluent English
- Extremely high standards with a keen eye for attention to detail essential and meticulous care of expensive pieces
- Desire to provide an excellent standard of work and to take pride in their work
- Experience of working with a variety of cleaning products
- Highly flexible with working hours and as a team
- Capable of working within a team

**Salary**: From £30,000.00 per year
