Our client a leading sports club in Woking, Surrey are looking for a Clubhouse Manager with an insight and understanding of working within a sports and community environment.
The club operates its facilities for the benefit of its members and the wider community through events and hiring out of its facilities. The role covers the day-to-day management of the facilities and full offering of the bar and catering services.
This Clubhouse Manager position requires someone who is personable, fun, and dedicated to achieving impeccable standards in all aspects of the operation. You will support the Management team, ensuring high standards of customer service are delivered always,you will control the day-to-day running of the Clubhouse, the beverage and catering operation, demonstrating excellent all-round IT and communication skills.
This Clubhouse Manager role is a full-time position, in an exciting and dynamic club involving some evening and weekend work; it requires a person who will adopt a hands-on approach and is ambitious towards building a high-level of service to its club membersand to develop the business into one that is dynamic, welcoming, and fun - where people choose to come to spend their leisure time.
Clubhouse Manager Core Responsibilities:
To oversee the Front of house activities delivered to members and guests via its bar and catering operations including the management of the clubhouse needs. Leading and motivating a team of up to 20 people including:
*Promoting and supporting Catering and Bar activities.
*Work closely with the Head Chef to promote catering options and actively market all clubhouse functions delivering small to medium size events, walk ups and player meals
*Stock Control and Cash Management
*Cellar Management
*Co-ordinating the overall delivery of activities for members in the clubhouse to ensure smooth running of club functions and match day events.
*Co-ordinating and ensuring staff are trained and knowledgeable
*To recruit and retain a quality workforce
*Maintain rotas to ensure suitable staff cover is always present.
*Organise the necessary training and qualification of all staff in such matters of, but not exclusive to, hospitality, cellar management, food preparation and hygiene, first aid, fire safety, health and safety and ensure that reviews and records are updatedand properly kept.
*To hold regular departmental meetings and ensure relevant product knowledge
*To monitor the department payroll and roster accordingly as per the business needs.
*To operate the department in a safe manner and complete the fire, health and safety reviews and records in order to be operating legally
*To monitor the upkeep of the clubhouse in liaison with the Clubs Facilities Manager to ensure all areas of the facility are kept clean and serviceable to the club's high standards.
*The role will include profit and loss accountability and drive revenue enhancement for all aspects of the Clubhouse.
*To optimise the profitability, maintain margins and keep correct stock levels
*To monitor, analyse and report on weekly & monthly P&L accounts against the budgeted income and expenditure
Skills and Attributes:
Essential
*A self-motivated individual, who is trustworthy, reliable & passionate about sport.
*A good understanding of technology.
*Flexible person, who demonstrates initiative and works well under pressure.
*Target driven with a desire to be successful.
*Excellent communicator with exceptional people skills.
*Previous experience in bar and catering management.
*Have a valid driving licence with access to own transport & business usage.
Desirable
*Hold their own personal alcohol licence
*Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office.
*Food and hygiene certificate

Hours
Hours of work will be up to 45 hours per week.

Remuneration will be competitive and commensurate with experience and role responsibility with a bonus scheme that rewards the success of the business.
