We have an exciting new role for a passionate
**Assistant Psychologist **to join our Bootle service to be part of our multidisciplinary team, delivering comprehensive assessment and recovery focussed interventions to people who are directly or indirectly affected by drug and alcohol use Under the supervision of a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, you will offer a range of evidence-based psychological and psychosocial interventions relevant to address the degree of complexity experienced within this population of people.

You will support the empowerment of teams and individuals to increase knowledge, skills, and professional confidence around the needs of the people who access our services. Through consultancy, reflective practice, team formulation, training and clinical case management, the post holder will help the wider team create an innovative and effective trauma-informed service.

**Responsibilities**:
**About the role**:

- Support the delivery of Psychology interventions such as CBT workshops, trauma stabilisation group and emotion regulation group to service users
- Provide quality support for the delivery of an efficient, effective, comprehensive and specialist psychological service
- Support service delivery in a way that reflects our whole-person approach
- Contribute to multidisciplinary assessment and intervention for people who access services
- Develop training and support programmes and initiatives for other staff within the team
- Contribute to the assessment of health and social care needs as part of an integrated team where appropriate
- Support in the preparation of reports for a variety of audiences as required

**About you**:

- A qualification eligible for graduate basis for chartered membership (GBC) of the British Psychological Society
- Previous experience of working with people experiencing emotional distress and/or mental health difficulties
- Evidence of the ability to work effectively within an MDT
- Experience of data analysis and with database management
- Good written and verbal communication skills along with strong IT skills
- Knowledge of statistical analysis packages e.g.,SPSS, Excel
