**Job Description**:
We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our Group Internal Audit (GIA) team as an Assistant Manager. The role will focus on Operational and Conduct Risks across the Skipton Group, with the successful applicant working on a varied portfolio of audit assignments.

Main Responsibilities

You will be part of the Skipton Building Society (SBS) Group Internal Audit team. Your work will involve leading and conducting a range of audits as guided by your leader. You will work closely with your team to support the delivery of departmental plans.

You’ll also engage with stakeholders to provide feedback on audit outcomes and prepare audit reports to encourage appropriate action. There will also be opportunities for you to be involved in various projects and strategic initiatives within GIA.

Just like the rest of the Society, GIA have adapted really well to home working during the current pandemic, so there would not be a requirement for you to be based in the Bailey full time. We are happy to consider any flexible working requests you may have. Due to the nature of the role, some work away from home may be required as and when the Government guidelines allow this.

We’re looking for someone who has:
- Experience of a Conduct and Operational risk environment- Excellent communication skills- Analytical skills- Organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities- Ability to develop and maintain relationships at all levels- Willingness to learn and develop- Previous Internal Audit experience is desirable
