**Monday to Friday, 9.00am - 5.30pm (with flexibility)**

Our client has exciting plans for the future development of their Milton Keynes accounting practice. They are looking for a Bookkeeper to join their fantastic team, where customer care is at the heart of the organisation.

**Is this for YOU?**
- Have you started an ICB Level 2 Certificate in Bookkeeping or higher?
- Do you have 2 or more years’ experience in bookkeeping in an accounting practice or a finance function within the private industry sector?
- Are you proficient in using Xero, Quickbooks and FreeAgent accounting software?
- Do you exude positivity, energy and passion while being approachable, a good listener and a clear communicator?
- Can you dig deep into the numbers of a business and quickly spot discrepancies and areas of concern?
- Are you passionate about providing a quality service to our clients?
- Is building a great rapport with clients and trusted 3rd party providers something you could embrace and deliver?
- Are you willing to travel occasionally to meet with clients locally and in London and attend training events and if so, do you have a driving licence?

**What the role will involve**:

- Entering and recording financial transactions
- Handling accounts payable and receivable
- Coding supplier invoices and VAT
- Ensuring receipts and bills are attached to each transaction on the software system
- Handling client invoices by checking, recording and sending to client’s customers
- Setting up and maintaining live bank feeds into the software from each bank account
- Recording cash receipts and handling bank deposits
- Bank reconciliations
- Maintain fixed assets register
- Production of profit and loss statements and balance sheets
- Analysis of the client’s numbers before submitting to the accountants within the Practice
- Provide training and guidance on using online accounting software to other clients of the Practice
- Providing administrative and clerical support as needed
- Additional bookkeeping duties as designated by the Practice
