**Credit Controller**
- Based BSW Head Office - Earlston, Scottish Borders
- Full Time / Permanent

**_Some responsibilities of a Credit Controller may include: _**
- Manage the debtors of a portfolio of customers including National accounts.
- Manage customer queries to ensure on-time payments.
- Timely preparation of weekly/monthly management information, such as debt reporting, on credit controls for BSW Sawmills.
- Manage the onboarding of new customers within the accounting software.
- Manage credit insurance for your portfolio of customers.
- Identify & mitigate credit control risks, assisting with improving/enhancing existing systems & processes.
- Management of write-off and debt provisions, arranging payment plans for your portfolio of customers.
- Liaise, where applicable, with external stakeholders such as auditors and debt management agencies.

**_About you:_**

Already an experienced Credit Controller, preferably from a Manufacturing / Production background, your proven people management skills allow you to not only build meaningful working relationships with your reporting lines, but a strong rapport with external business stakeholders. In addition, you’ll have:

- Experience developing and maintaining end-to-end credit control and accounts receivable processes; as well as identify and make improvements to existing processes.
- Sound knowledge of Credit Law and corporate legislations.
- Excellent IT skills, including a practical understanding of Microsoft packages.
- Willingness to undertake occasional travel to Group locations across the UK.
- Full Driving License.
- CICM or other related Financial Qualification(s) would be advantageous but not necessary.
