**The Opportunity**:
HKA have an opportunity for an experienced Payroll Officer to join their well established and forward thinking Finance team. You will be responsible for managing the payroll process from start to finish for all countries in our EMEA region (Europe, Middle East and South Africa), you will build successful professional relationships with internally working closely to ensure an efficient process is carried out at all times.

We are looking for someone with stable work experience who is interested in working in a fast-paced environment and be an integral part of our Finance team.

**Role and responsibilities**:

- Manage the entire payroll process to ensure the accuracy and completeness of employee payroll calculations.
- Ensure timely processing of payroll to meet designated internal deadlines and external payroll provider (ADP Celergo) deadlines.
- Review and process additions and changes to payroll system.
- Act as main point of contact for external payroll provider.
- Preparation of, and where appropriate, submission, of P45s, P46s, and P11Ds.
- Prepare and submit payroll taxes, ensuring compliance with all tax regulations.
- Coordinate with relevant authorities and external agencies for tax-related matters and inquiries.
- Address and resolve any payroll-related issues or discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner.
- Provide support and guidance to employees regarding payroll-related inquiries or concerns.
- Provide necessary documentation and support to ensure compliance and accuracy during audits.
- Collecting all pay data including starters, leavers, overtime, bonuses and liaising with payroll provider to ensure all data is correct.
- Assist management accounts with payroll reconciliations to ensure all payroll related accounts are fully reconciled.
- Answers questions from employees and managers regarding payroll matters, records, deductions, and procedures.
- To keep up-to-date with changes in payroll and taxation legislation that may impact on the processing and payment of.
- Continuous improvement of payroll processes.

**Skills & Experience**:
Ideally you will possess the following skills and experience:

- Extremely strong well rounded experience in overseeing payroll process in the UK.
- Experience of working with external payroll providers and systems.
- Ability to multi-task and deliver results.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- A strong team player with the ability to work independently.
- A collaborative mind set.
- General financial skills and knowledge, including basic understanding of income statements and balance sheets.

**Preferred Requirements**:

- Knowledge of payroll procedures for jurisdictions outside of the UK.
- Working knowledge of ADP Celergo.
- Experience of dealing with HMRC enquiries and general queries.
