The HR team at our site in Carlisle is growing We have a new Head of HR who has exciting plans in place to build a proactive, people focused team that can help drive improvements and facilitate cultural change across the business.

**About Us**:
Our site in Carlisle is a key part of our Meals Solutions division, comprising of 3 factories and employing around 1,200 people. We produce a huge range of chilled food products for major retailers - it is a busy, fast-paced environment, where things can change very quickly, and no two days are ever the same.

**About the Role**:
This is a brand new role and we’re looking for somebody who can attract and hire the best people and strengthen our presence as an employer in the local area.

You’ll be responsible for all weekly paid recruitment, typically handling around 80 live vacancies at any one time and partnering with managers across the site to fill their roles and put longer term strategies in place.

Your first job will be to review our current processes and tell us what we need to do differently. Are we missing out on good people? Do our processes follow best practice? Can we change how we advertise?

You’ll also be working out how we can improve and raise our profile by attending job fairs, and developing links with schools, colleges, and universities.

There’s a lot of work to be done, but you’ll be offered plenty of support and this is a real opportunity to make the role your own and also have a direct impact on business performance.

**About You**:
You’ll need to have a solid background in recruitment, either agency or in-house. Manufacturing experience would be ideal, but is not essential as we’re keen to hear from anybody with experience of handling a high volume of roles.

Key to success in the role will be building strong relationships with teams across the site - you’ll be working with colleagues at all levels, so strong communication and influencing skills are essential.

This will be a challenging role so you will also need to be highly organised with a methodical approach and an ability to plan and prioritise a busy workload.
