**Salary: £20,551**

**Hours: 37hours 9am-5pm Monday-Thursday 9am-4.30pm on Fridays**

To assist the IT Team in providing administration and support to the users, IT and communications systems across all sites.

**_ Day in the life of an IT Assistant:_**
- Assist in ensuring that Two Saints’ ICT policies are followed, and to carry out general network administration - user access control, permission changes etc.
- Perform daily checks and notify relevant people of any action required
- Support and assist staff to meet established quality standards of data input to ensure that performance reports are meaningful
- Assist with network updates, hardware configuration and distribution, equipment moves and changes
- Attend sites (shadowing initially) to provide support and installation of IT systems
- Assist in the delivery of a Microsoft 365 transformation strategy where required
- Assist in the provision of digital inclusion for clients (My IT), and the maintenance of this
- Periodically survey the staff’s opinion regarding the effectiveness of the principal suppliers’ IT systems and support activities - consider how this information could improve the service provided
- Help provide and maintain key performance reports from IT systems to the business
- Maintain accurate records of software licences, equipment type and location etc.
- Produce activity reports to the IT Manager as requested
- Document and update processes and procedures for the IT team
- Become a champion for change in IT delivery
- Develop and continuously improve own skills and knowledge
- Any other reasonable duties required in the interest of the organisation

**Attributes & Values**

The IT Support Assistant will be able to demonstrate a majority of the following competencies:

- Proven technical IT skills (MS Windows, Office, Active Directory)
- A minimum Level 2 IT Apprenticeship or at least 2 years’ experience working in an IT team
- Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise tasks
- Flexible and approachable attitude
- Five GCSEs including English, Maths and IT
- Excellent communication skills - written and oral
- Ability to explain technical issues to non-technical people
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Full/clean driving licence and own transport preferred
- Essential competencies: customer service, communication, team work, development of own knowledge and skills, data quality, cyber security awareness, drive/enthusiasm, honesty and integrity
- ** A full drivers licence and access to a vehicle would be a requirement for this role
