Support Technician/purchaser

**The Role**

This is a dual role with responsibility split between two business areas

As an IT Support Technician at CRE, you will be responsible for:

- Repairing and refurbishing equipment that is returned to us
- Preparing new equipment prior to dispatch
- Contributing to the development and maintenance of our internal IT infrastructure

As a Purchasing Assistant, you will be responsible for:

- Sourcing IT and Audio-Visual equipment at the best prices
- Placing orders and liaising with our sales team to ensure stock is here when needed
- Looking at new innovations and suggesting products to our sales team

Given the wide ranging technologies that we use, this role is an ideal opportunity for someone who has, or is looking obtain, a broad range of skills.

It is a very small team so the successful applicant needs to be able to jump in with both feet and get stuck in straight away

**About You**

The successful applicant should have:

- Good communication skills and a pleasant customer focussed attitude

A good working knowledge of IP networking

Not be scared of the command line - almost all our products are based on Linux

Good problem solving skills

Organised and able to work under own initiative
